This grant will used to purchase a bulldozer for the improvement of waste management on Weno.
Chuuk has a number of illegal dumping sites all over the island of Weno, gravely affecting the livelihoods of the local population in terms of sanitation.
The equipment provided by the Embassy of Japan will provide aid in the work of repairing the road that leads to the official dumping site and hopefully the illegal dumping sites will soon be abolished.
