Fee will be charged at July 4th parade route

Individuals, families and or groups will not be allowed to set up tents or utilize public lands without a temporary permit.

Temporary permit applications are available at the Division of Parks and Recreation’s As Perdido office.

The fee must be paid at the Department of Public Lands office, finance section, in the Joeten Dandan Commercial Center, and the receipt brought back to the Division of Parks & Recreation in As Perdido, where a permit will be issued to the applicant. The last date to apply for a spot is July 2 at 4:30 p.m. and spots are issued on a first come first serve basis.

Public Law 11-106 gives Parks & Recreation the authority to establish “user” fees for all public parks and beaches that are maintained by the division.

Officers will be on hand on July 3 and 4 to assure that only individuals who have a temporary permit are occupying space.

If you have any questions, contact Parks & Recreation at 234-7405 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
