The lunch meeting will be held at the Pacific Islands Club- Charley’s Cabaret on Thursday, June 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers to learn about how to effectively carry out disciplinary actions with employees in the workplace.
Progressive discipline is a process for dealing with job-related behavior that does not meet expected and communicated performance standards.
The primary purpose for progressive discipline is to assist the employee to understand that a performance problem or opportunity for improvement exists.
The process features increasingly formal efforts to provide feedback to the employee so he or she can correct the problem.
The goal of progressive discipline is to take a positive approach to improving employee performance rather than the negative approach of immediately punishing them.
After Griffin provides his presentation, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions.
The presentation includes lunch and any handouts. The cost is $20 for SHRM members and $30 for non-members. Seats are limited, so reserve your seat by contacting Polly Deleon Guerrero at 237-5122 or e-mail pollydlg@gmail.com.
