Delta Airlines has continually sponsored the program and raises its donation through its annual golf tournament, “Delta Air Lines Golf Tournament for Children’s Education.”
“We are grateful for Delta Airline’s continual generosity for this worthwhile community program,” said Forrester.
Held last March, the Parade of Books had 14 schools from all over the CNMI competing for cash prizes by interpreting their favorite book though a creative performance.
“We would like to thank our major sponsors for the Parade of Books and show our appreciation for making this one of the most successful community projects the Rotary Club of Saipan has had,” said Forrester.
Kishiwada North Rotary Club also donated $2,340 and Pacific Islands Club donated 30 water park passes for Best in Spirit Award and one PIC One Night Stay for Best Director.
Freedom Air also donated two round trip tickets each for Rota and Tinian elementary school team members.
DFS Galleria assisted with the parade mascots, Triple J Super Fresh Market donated five cases of water and Marianas Variety News & Views donated advertisements and posters.
“We would also like to thank Mr. Jim Feger of the Marianas High School Gym, the MHS Radio Club, MHS Productions, MHS Japan Ski Crew and the MHS National Honor Society members for their volunteer efforts and assistance,” said Forrester. “Thank you to all of our volunteer Rotary Club of Saipan members as well for your tireless efforts — this is a great example of service above self.”
