Kamille San Nicolas, who turned 22 last May, is the daughter of Timothy and Adelia San Nicolas of Rota.
Her mother is urging CNMI residents to vote for her daughter because “this will help make the CNMI known to the world.”
She said she is very proud of her daughter joining the pageant to let the “people know that we have a lot of beautiful people.”
Kamille San Nicolas will graduate this year from her business administration course. She is majoring in accounting.
She also attended a flight school in Vancouver, Washington.
Mrs. San Nicolas said it was Jam Rodriguez, a former employee of the Rota Resort Hotel, that encouraged her daughter to join the contest.
Rodriquez is the principal sponsor of Kamille San Nicolas, a former Eskelan San Francisco De Borja student and the 8th grade class valedictorian of Grace Christian Academy.
Before she pursued her studies on the mainland, she spent two years at the Academy of our Lady of Guam.
Mrs. San Nicolas said community members can vote for her daughter at www.myipen: just click “Miss Philippines North America.”
