PFA finishes training

Over 40 kids ages 3 to 13 years old participated in the “camp”.At the closing ceremony President and head coach, Charles Reklai Mitchell presented certificates to all the players and thanked Emmaus High School for graciously letting the PFA hold the twice weekly sessions on the school grounds.Mitchell also encouraged the young players to continue to enjoy the sport and urged parents to continue to support them.At the closing, parents and kids enjoyed fruit juices and a giant cake made in the shape of a soccer ball.

At this time, the PFA also announced that Vice President of the Association, Mr. Geoffrey Fyers and his family will be leaving Palau in early June after almost 6 yrs years in Palau.Geoff will be sorely missed by the PFA as he has been instrumental to keep the camps going, coaching all ages, working with the schools and participating in all the PFA outreach activities.

The PFA would like to encourage any parents to join the Association to help build the sport of soccer in Palau. It is a game where many skills can be learned, self confidence built and lessons learned with respect to good character and fair play.

The PFA will announce the next “camp” session which will likely be held after the Micro Games.
