Mobil Smiles promotion winners get $1K gift certificates

Five organizations chosen as beneficiaries by the five winners were awarded $2,000 cash donations from Mobil.

The five grand prize winners were Asinta Pangelinan who chose the CNMI Salvation Army as her charitable organization, Joaquin Quitugua who chose the Northern Marianas Protection and Advocacy Systems Inc. or NMPASI, Edihuel Necesito and Aya Desebel who both chose  Guma Esperansa, and Frances Roberto who chose Emergency Food & Shelter.

The CNMI Salvation Army representatives said  the money will go toward their food assistance program while the Guma Esperansa representatives said they will use the money for their food and economic advocacy programs. NMPASI will use the donation for its technical assistance program.

Mobil Oil Mariana Islands country manager Gennaro Cioffi said they are proud to partner with their loyal customers to help local charities.

“Mobil looks forward to working with its valued customers in the years to come by providing continued innovation, service and dedication to the communities it serves,” Cioffi said.

The “Giving Everyone a Reason to Smile” promotion ran from April 16 to June 10.  Smiles members who purchased a minimum of $10 worth of gasoline and swiped their Smiles Card at any Mobil Service Station received an automatic entry into the raffle draw.

Cioffi said the promotion was a win-win opportunity for the Lucky Smiles grand prize winners and the charities they have chosen.
