Jaime Soledad, Woo Jin Bark, Kevin Rhee, Cheny Rhyhoo, and Devonne Brianna Dotts beat 70 other elementary students from both public and private schools in a competition that challenged their critical thinking skills and their ability to work under pressure.
The CCA team was coached by Rey Perez.
In second place came Mount Carmel School while Grace Christian Academy finished third.
Competitors had to go through three rounds of answering questions regarding social science, science, mathematics and English.
They were given a short amount of time to answer questions compiled by Marianas High School’s National Honor Society.
The competition was based on a points system, Any school that answered a question correctly in the allotted time received a set amount of points. The school with the most points was declared the winner.
The annual Academic Bee Challenges for the elementary level are hosted by the National Honor Society of Marianas High School.
