Celebrating its 15th Anniversary, the Tournament of Champions will bring two days of golf and exciting prizes to Saipan this weekend. Doug Brennan, general manager of Microl said “We are proud to be a part of TOC and have seen what the beautification fund has done for Saipan.” We hope someone will win the Yaris at this weekend’s tournament,” he added.
Marianas Variety was told last Tuesday, since its inception, TOC has given over $500,000 to the Saipan Beautification Fund which has gone directly to the improvements of the tree-lined traffic medians that stretch from Garapan to The Palms Resort at Pau Pau, as well as the revitalization of the Garapan special district. In addition, TOC also contributed funds for the Paseo de Marianas, the lighting of the Saipan Beach Pathway, and most recently the beatification of the Port to Park pathway.
“Microl has shown their commitment to TOC and we are grateful for their participation and support. Our golfers are looking forward to the chance to try for a hole in one,” said Ben Babauta, TOC Tournament Director.
The 15th Annual Tournament of Champions will take place on Saturday and Sunday, July 31st and August 1st, 2010 at Lao Lao Bay Golf and Resort. Show time is 6:00am and shotgun starts at 7:00am.
