Kagman offers recreational facility to youth

On Aug. 15, KKA launched a youth center with sports and recreational paraphernalia at the Kagman Community Center.

Center coordinator Greg Deleon Guerrero said their goal is to help ensure that the youth will pursue “noble endeavors.”

Initially, he said they are offering two pool tables and one ping pong table.

They also have free WiFi connection.

The youth center is open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Deleon Guerrero said the parents were very supportive and they liked the idea.

“KKA has worked long and hard to try to put this together. Now the youths of Kagman have more things to do. They can play games or use the free Wi-Fi Internet for research or homework,” he said.

He is urging the community, particularly the youth, to take advantage of the facilities.

The current officers of KKA are Jesse Torres, president; Daniel Hun, treasurer; Retta Sue Hamilton, secretary; Allisa Pangelinan; and Willie Brundidge.
