Wiseman: No bail modification for Kagman kidnap-rape suspect

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman earlier informed the Attorney General’s Office that the hearing for the juvenile’s motion for bail modification would proceed as a juvenile case.

The AGO filed an adult complaint against the juvenile who will turn 18 this month.

After Wiseman heard oral arguments, the hearing proceeded under juvenile proceedings, and thus were sealed.

The juvenile and his 31-year-old co-defendant, Joseph Cabrera Camacho Jr., are being held on a $100,000 cash bail.

The juvenile and Camacho are scheduled to appear in court for their preliminary hearing today.

Angel Jess Santos, 21, and Ivan Jones Castro, 33, who were separately arrested last June, denied they kidnapped and raped the victim.

Santos and Castro are being held on a $100,000 cash bail.

On Aug. 2, Santos, through the advisement of his counsel, Joseph James Norita Camacho, signed a plea agreement, admitting that the defendant committed conspiracy to commit sexual assault.
