In Presidential Proclamation No. 10-17 signed and issued, April 8 stated that the community is urged to take part in the observance and activities designed to cause of prevention and control of alcohol use and abuse for the entire month of April.
The proclamation said that the alcohol affects the body and can damage the body’s organ.
It also stated that driving under influence is dangerous and carries stiff penalties.
The proclamation also noted that the young people’s decision to drink is due to his environment.
Families, friends, schools have a role in the decision to drink.
“The most effective strategy to prevent alcohol abuse is when the whole community joins efforts to make their communities healthy and safe,” the proclamation stated.
