Both teams crashed head to head in the first quarter, tying the game to an even 17-17.
The Hi-5s gained an edge when they stole several passes from the Rebels. Wowie Abuel started the second quarter off with six points, followed by another set of 10 from Kae Bernardo. Bernardo earned the highest score for the Hi-5s, making 24 points by the end of the game.
While he led the front lines for the Hi-5’s offense, the Runnin’ Rebels used speed to their advantage in the defense.
Rebel’s Ivan De Vero made several attempts to sneak a lay up behind the Hi-5s but failed.
By the second half the Hi-5s secured a 10-point lead ahead of the Rebels. With the time running out, the Hi-5s simply maintained pressure on the Rebels to prevent them from catching up. Dave Sablan and Wowie Abuel supported Bernardo with their own set of shots, pulling a combined total of 33 points.
Ol’ Aces win by default
