Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Sgt. Thomas A. Blas Jr. identified the suspects as Terrence Aguon Fitial, also known as Nolasco, 27, and Alsten Santos, 20.
Security guard Edward Santos reported to the police the robbery incident on Isa Drive, south of the former CYC store. He sustained several cuts to his left arm and hand.
The two suspects, armed with knives, entered the establishment and demanded money from the employees, police said. The suspects assaulted the security guard who struggled and disarmed them, police added. The suspects then ran toward the direction of the former Rifu garment factory. Fitial was arrested outside an apartment complex behind Rifu at about 2:49 a.m. The second suspect was arrested at about 7:46 a.m. at the same apartment complex.
