Department of Public Safety acting spokesman Sgt. Thomas A. Blas Jr. said Erwin Palacios Santos “made verbal threats” and threatened to kill Donicio Reyes, 18, who called the police.
Prior to the incident, Reyes’ friends were at the Fina Sisu apartment when Santos arrived. He was looking for the victim, saying he would kill Reyes.
Fearing for Reyes’ safety, his friends went to Northern Marianas College compound where they met the victim and informed him about Santos’ threats.
Responding patrol officers went to the apartment and found Santos in the parking lot.
Santos was then arrested and brought to the Department of Corrections where he was detained, Blas said.
