The Rollers led away in the first quarter with 16-14 and again in the second quarter, scoring 35-33 against the Saints.
Claiming their victory was not very easy for the Rollers. Saints’ Jomary Tumaquip was on a roll in the offensive, slamming in two consecutive baskets behind the three point line. Tumaquip followed up with a two-pointer, later piling a total of 10 points for the second quarter.
The Rollers began speeding up their pace when the Saints achieved their first lead against them with 52-55 by the beginning of the fourth quarter.
Rollers’ Vincent Teregeyo and Leo Galarse started off with a few free throw shots, boosting their team forward by three points.
With four minutes left on the clock, the Rollers were still having difficulty maintaining their lead while the Saints shot their away behind them. Following a lay up from Ham Hambros, the Rollers focused on pressuring the Saints off the ball.
After being fouled three times, Manuel Matagolai ends the game with five successive free throw shots which gives the Rollers an edge over the Saints.

Thanks to Elmer Esdrelon’s powerful offensive, the Hoegaarden IT&Es left Ada Gym with a big smile in their faces after taking the Bud Lime Ol’ Aces down, 63-61 in the second game of the Budweiser Basketball League last Wednesday.
The game peaked in the second half, when the Ol’ Aces finally filled the 10-point gap that lay between them and the Hoegaardens.
