Kautz tops 20th Cycle Police Academy fundraiser golf

Hosted by the X’clusive Golf Association, the said tournament was held to raise fund for this year’s batch of the Police Academy that has 38 cadets graduating to be NMI’s newest breed of law enforcers.

There were 67 golfers who showed up in the tournament, which according to X’clusive Golf Association president Dave Cepeda indicated a successful event.

Kautz had enough bogeys to fill in the Peoria holes and earned the handicap that cut his 82 gross down to 70. He shot 4-over par 40 in the front and 6-over par 42 in the back nine.

Eun Mi Ko also earned 12 handicap to finish with 72 for the second place. She struggled in the front nine with 7-over par 43 and improved in the back nine where she shot 41.

Settling for the third place was Alex Tudela who fired 5-over par 41 in both nines to earn 9.6 handicap and finish with 72.4 net.

Placing fourth was Asterio who had 2.4 handicap for his 75 gross. Asterio went 2-over par 38 in the front nine and 1-over par 37 in the back nine and had a four-way tie with Carl Hocog, Jung Eun Teack and Manny Alvarez.

Asterio’s lowest gross earned him the fourth slot.

Tailing him was Hocog who grossed 81, then, Teack 87 and Alvarez, 93.

Hitting the longest drive in Hole No. 6 was Paul Tenorio.

Shooting closest to the pin in Hole No. 3 was Fred Hocog, in Hole No. 7 was John Cepeda and in Hole No. 14 was Frank Pangelinan.

Dave Cepeda and the 20th Cycle Police Academy during the awards banquet expressed gratitude to all the golfers for their support.
