Docomo Hustlers crowned 8-ball champs

In the first  round of the doubles’ match up, Docomo Hustlers’ Senen Pangelinan and Erwin Gomez pocketed 2 out of 3 games winning over the Huwas Joey Cruz and Randy Sablan. In the 2nd round of the doubles’ match up, with a sour taste of revenge in their mouths, team Huwa’s Tero Takai and and Ray Takai comes back by winning the first 2 out of 3 games giving them the point with an even 1-1 score. In the 1st round of the singles’ match up Huwa’s Ray Basa goes up against Jerry Soriano. Basa was no match for Soriano because Soriano won the first 2 games out of 3 giving the point to Hustlers won again for a 2-1 score at the bottom of the 6th game. In the 2nd round of the singles’ match up Hustlers’ Erwin Gomez went up against Huwa’s Randy Sablan. Sablan put up a great fight winning against Gomez in the 1st game. But Gomez came back pocketing the 2nd game so the competition entered into sudden death for a tie breaker. Hustlers’ Gomez pocketed the 8-ball first giving the winning point to the Hustlers 3-1. In the 3rd round of the singles’ match up, Hustlers’ Joemer Enriquez was partnered up against Huwa’s Joey Cruz. It was an amazing turn of events as Cruz pocketed the 1st game and then Enriquez pocketed the 2nd game again thrusting the competition into sudden death. But Cruz pulled through winning the tie breaker round and bringing the point home to Huwas 3-2. In the 4th round Hustlers Senen Pangelinan butted skills with Huwa’s Ray Takai. It was an easy win as Takai pocketed the first 2 games clean bringing the final score to an amazing 3-3. In the final round for the singles’ match up NTT Docomo Hustler’s Rowel Mariano steps up to the table against Huwa’s Tero Takai. Takai won the 1st game and Mariano took the 2nd game home. For the last time, the competition was entered into the sudden death round. In the last 10 minutes of the game, Mariano pocketed the 3rd game winning the Championship for the Budweiser Cup Agigan Division.
