With Miranda and Tabora pouring in most of their points, Mythical stretched their lead to nine-point lead towards the end of the first half.
The Vipers were closing in during the first quarter as Lee Tiger sizzling with six of his total points but Mythical’s aggressive defense caused them to fumble for a series of turnovers and fell behind in the second quarter.
After the half time break, Francis Rebuyon took in charge of the scoring job firing 10 of his 16 points to help the Mythicals widen the gap in the third quarter.
Lee stayed on the bench too long to score a point at this period and Fernando tried to pick up where he left off, but did not do enough to help the Vipers keep pace with the Mythicals.
The Mythicals had a lot of turnovers and the Vipers managed to hold them back with steals and trimmed down the lead to 10.
Although the Vipers were able to clamp over Mythical’s offense curbing Tabora and Rebuyon’ score to four apiece, the cushion was thick enough to be weaken and the Mythical stayed afloat towards the end of the ball game.
Miranda and Tabora scored 18 apiece to lead the Mythicals while Lee Tiger had 14 points for the Vipers.
Fixers 76, PTC 68
JR Barrios scattered 25 points in the court 11 of which helped the Fixers build a strong lead in the first quarter leading to their 76-68 rout of PTC.
Barrios kept his scoring surge while Moreno Martin and Jon Artates blasted from behind the arc to help the Fixers pull away in the second quarter.
Despite Bonbon Tamayo’s boost to 13 points that shave the Fixers’ lead, Jon Artates chipped in five of his 14 points help the Fixers stay in front towards the end of the third quarter.
Barrios and Camacho added six points apiece in the fourth quarter to help the Fixers move ahead of the rallying PTC cagers to secure their 76-68 victory.
Tamayo led PTC’s scoring hands with 34 points.
