National Team fought with brave hearts

According to a recent email from Mr. Ed Salas our team is still in safe hands and is doing well. Marianas Variety learned that they played against Chinese Taipei last Sunday and that from the get-go they were a strong team by just looking at their physique.

“Our first game was unexpected because the players were bigger, stronger and faster. All the players here are 14 and above except us and they are very skillful, but they don’t have true fans like us.”  Team captain Michael “Bo” Barry said.

Day two of the National team U15 pegged NMI and DPR Korea and was quite tougher than the first day.  DPR Korea started with a blast scoring very early and continued throughout the half way mark with 15 goals.

NMI defense did a better job in the second half holding DPR Korea to 8 goals.  Team DPR Korea finished with 23 goals and NMI 0 and although the score was one sided, the NMI National team never quitted.

They fought hard throughout the game maintaining their spirit. Although the skill level and speed of DPR was quite noticeable, we are extremely proud of our players for not giving up and continuing to push as hard as they can and as best as they are capable of. They should be arriving shortly this Friday, August 6, 2010.
