The two met last week to discuss the concerns of LB employees about the 30-day notice of non-renewal of their contracts when they expire on Sept. 30.
In an interview yesterday, Reyes, the wife of the Senate floor leader, said she visited Tenorio at his office to discuss this issue.
She said she was grateful that the speaker welcomed her, adding that their conversation was productive.
“Our meeting was very cordial and professional,” she said.
The speaker assured her of his support and assistance, she added.
Tenorio, in a separate interview, said he does not mind retaining the LB director, and that he and the House leadership support the bureau.
