Vivian Sablan of DYS told the Variety that the Liberation Day participation is just one of their series of events lined up for July and August in celebration of the first Youth Leadership Months in the CNMI.
Sablan said the highlights of the two-month celebration are two separate youth leadership camps scheduled on July 19-31 at the Kagman Community Center, and at the Ada Gym on Aug. 2-21.
“We are encouraging kids six to 13 years old to join the leadership camps because a lot of activities and training are in store for them,” Sablan said.
The camp starts from 8 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m. every day. The fee is $5 for insurance coverage.
“The camp is open for the first 200 participants for each camp only, so grab the chance to register now. The deadline for registration is July 2,” Sablan said.
Last week, acting Gov. Eloy S. Inos signed a proclamation declaring July and August as Youth Leadership Months.
