They say size does not matter but for this basketball league it did when the visiting YTS hoops squad was able to thump on the Palau cagers with a score of 75 – 70 on the championship match. 7 footer Todd Fuller powered to score 35 points as he partied at the paint while 6’9 David Wood does the distribution of the ball on top of the key.
Team Palau on the other hand put out a gallant effort despite their size as it was evident on per quarter scoring dealing with only single digit deficits. Gino Smau provided the push for Team Palau with his 16 point output but fell short as they succumbed to the YTS basketball team.
National Basketball League all stars crushed the Filipino All stars, 94 – 73, to capture third place while the latter settles for fourth.
The Super League is supervised and was organized by NDP – Basketball Palau under the Palau Basketball Federation to prepare our National team for the upcoming Micronesian games.
