Fisher previously represented CUC in certain civil litigation matters and worked closely with CUC legal counsel Timothy M. Connor for the last six months.
Two weeks ago, Connor passed away at his apartment. A former assistant attorney general, he was hired by CUC on April 13, 2009.
Fisher, in a statement, said Connor “will be greatly missed.”
“He served CUC well,” she added.
The responsibilities of Fisher include defending CUC from lawsuits, assisting with compliance issues under the federal stipulated orders, and assisting CUC in all its legal requirements.
“I welcome this opportunity to work with CUC,” Fisher said.
Her law firm, the Law Office of Deborah E. Fisher, LLC, focuses on complex civil litigation and real property issues.
Prior to opening her own firm, Fisher served as law clerk to Associate Justice John A. Manglona from 2005 to 2007.
She was admitted to practice in New York in 1994.
