Alfonso Palacios, Borja’s neighbor, arrived in his house at about 12 midnight from fishing, when he saw two suspicious persons.
He approached the two and discovered that they had Borja’s wristwatch, wallet and other belongings of his wife.
During Friday’s regular meeting, the Neighborhood Watch Task Force commended Palacios.
Dandan block captain Frank Camacho presented a certificate to Palacios and described him as a hero.
Palacios was also admitted as a member of the task force.
Borja, the legal adviser of the Susuper Neighborhood Watch Task Force headed by Eric Atalig, thanked Palacios and the task force for fighting criminality and maintaining peace in the community.
The task force in Susupe is also organizing a basketball league and 40 players have already signified their interest to join, Atalig said.
