Tmetuchl in an interview said when asked about the video footage said, “I don’t have it.”
Earlier the rival television station of Sen. Alfonso Diaz has asked Tmetuchl to compel Sen. Alfonso Diaz to share to other media outlets the video footage taken during the travel.
In a letter to Tmetuchl, Jeffrey Barabe, Roll ‘em Productions president said that those videos taken by “government officials during official visits are the property of the government.”
Tmetuchl said that he will send Barabe a letter to respond to the query.
He said that if Sen. Diaz does have the video footage and the still photos, and then it is a matter that should be addressed to the senator.
Diaz and Tmetuchl were part of the trip to Washington D.C. where Palau government officials led by President Johnson Toribiong attended the funeral services of the U.S. fallen soldiers.
Diaz, who is an elected official, also runs his own radio and television station in Palau.
Roll ‘em Productions run a rival news station, OTV.
Tmetuchl said President Toribiong invited the senators to the trip. In earlier interviews, Toribiong said some of the lawmakers had expressed intentions to come to the trip.
