Visiting Senior Judge John C. Coughenour of Washington state ordered Ada to pay a $300 special assessment fee immediately after sentencing.
But Coughenour waived all fines after it was determined that Ada does not have the ability to pay them.
Ada’s court-appointed attorney F. Matthew Smith recommended for the low-end of the sentencing guidelines with credit for time served.
Assistant U.S. Attorney James Benedetto, who prosecuted the case, recommended a nine-month jail term.
Ada who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, was arrested last year.
