NMTech awards Google Career Certificates to top high school graduates

(NMTech) — The Northern Marianas Technical Institute is proud to announce the awarding over 100 Google Career Certificates to 11 public and private high schools.

This initiative reflects NMTech’s continued commitment to support outstanding graduating seniors from Kagman High School, Saipan Southern High School, Marianas High School, Da’ok Academy, Dr. Rita Hocog-Inos Jr. Sr. High School, Tinian Jr. Sr. High School, Mount Carmel School, Grace Christian Academy, Saipan International School, Eucon International School, and Agape Christian School

These students, each ranked in the top 10 of their respective graduating classes, will receive scholarships to pursue professional certificates in high-demand fields including Data Analytics, User Experience (UX) Design, Cybersecurity, IT Support, Business Intelligence and Project Management.

The initiative is part of NMTech’s commitment to equipping the next generation of leaders in the Marianas with practical, industry-recognized skills that open pathways to remote work, internships, and further study. The Google Career Certificates are globally recognized programs designed to prepare learners — in under six months — for job-ready roles in technology and business sectors without the need for prior experience.

“We’re incredibly proud of these students and excited to empower young people across the Marianas in their futures with tools that will position them for success in the digital age” said NMTech CEO Jodina Attao.

The selected students will begin their certificate programs this summer through the Coursera platform. NMTech continues to explore new partnerships and funding opportunities to expand access to technical education and workforce development initiatives in the CNMI.
