Probable cause found in assault case

Superior Court Associate Judge David A. Wiseman scheduled Ringlen’s arraignment for May 24, 2010.

Ringlen, who remains in the custody of the Department of Corrections, has been charged with one count of assault and battery, one count of resisting arrest, and one count of criminal contempt.

Wiseman dismissed the charge of one count of minor consuming alcohol. A $10,000 cash bail was set for Ringlen’s temporary liberty.

Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Dockter represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Michael C. Brown was Ringlen’s counsel.

The prosecution said Ringlen, who smelled of alcohol, struck the hand and chest of Detective Sean White and ran away.

White was investigating a robbery incident in Chalan Kanoa where he found Ringlen  inside a poker game room.
