Ramsey, Elliot claim open singles titles

COLIN Ramsey and Hye Jin Elliot displayed dominance during the Pacific Islands Club Saipan 2025 Tennis Championships to claim their respective division titles over the weekend.

Ramsey bagged the Singles Men’s Open Division title with ease as he bested Jyle Landicho in two straight sets, 7-6, 6-3.

Ramsey’s path to the title match included a commanding 6-1, 6-0 semifinal win over Siwoo Lee and a flawless 6-0, 6-0 opening performance against Paul Jang.

Landicho’s own run included a first round win (6-1, 6-2) and a semifinal victory over Nathan Mook (6-0, 6-3), but he couldn’t crack Ramsey’s powerful all-court game in the finals.

For her part, Elliot finished strong over Anne Lee in two sets to claim the Singles Women’s Open Division title.

Elliot asserted her dominance with a commanding championship performance. Following a strong semifinal win over Irin Chung (6-3, 6-2), she surged past Anne Lee in the final with a decisive 6-1, 6-1 victory.

Lee had earned her spot in the final with a gritty 7-5, 6-3 semifinal win over Hanna Chae but couldn’t keep up with Elliot’s pace and precision in the title match.
