Schrack has been the acting secretary since Eloy S. Inos became lt. governor in April 2009.
The public hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m., and it will be held in the Senate chamber.
Sen. Francisco Q. Cruz, R-Tinian and the chairman of the committee, has asked representatives from the Attorney General’s Office, the Department of Finance, the Office of the Governor, and members of the public to testify regarding Schrack’s appointment.
