Jeanette T.F. Suzuki, retail territory manager of Shell Guam and marketing manager of Shell North Pacific, said customers who gas up at Shell using Bank of Guam Delta SkyMiles Visa credit card will get a four percent discount, and earn valuable Delta SkyMiles at the same time.
“Shell has been actively participating in community concerns and activities for over 20 years in the island,” Suzuki said during the launch of the discount program at the Pacific Islands Club.
She said customers will not only enjoy these benefits but they will be putting the island’s highest quality fuel in their tanks, too.
Bank of Guam president, chief executive officer and chairwoman of the board Lou Leon Guerrero said this is “an exclusive offer that is just another value added customer proposition” for their customers.
“The Bank of Guam started with a million dollar asset but now it has expanded into a billion dollar bank and we are here to continue to look at how we can help you best in these hard economic times,” Leon Guerrero said.
Shell Marianas retail area manager and country chair representative Jeff Boyer said that the 4 percent discount is on top of the Shell Lucky 7 stamps for redemption.
“This means that customers can still receive Lucky 7 stamps to fill their Lucky 7 passports with every fuel purchase to get rewards,” he said.
Boyer said the Shell-Bank of Guam Delta SkyMiles Visa discount program is an exclusive offer for Saipan customers only.
It took almost a year for both companies to iron out the details before finalizing the program.
“This is our way of giving back to the community, and we look forward to a long relationship with our clients,” Boyer said.
The launching of the program yesterday brought together key businesspeople and government officials.

To apply for a Bank of Guam Delta SkyMiles Visa credit card, fill out an application form at any of the three Bank of Guam locations in Garapan, Joeten Superstore (Price Costco) and at the Afetna Square Mall in San Antonio.
Attach two latest paycheck stubs, verification of employment and two references with contact address and phone numbers with your application form.
