The MBIC is an enforcement training for police officers to enhance their capability in handling investigation.
US Navy Lieutenant Gary “Alex) Santis, training-liaison officer, said there are 40 selected police officers fromdifferent agencies and departments will undergo three-week long firearms and investigation training.
He said there are six police officers from the Federated States of Micronesia, six from Republic of Marshall Islands and 28 from Palau.
After the opening ceremony theinvestigation training started immediately while the marksmanship training commenced last week at the Aimeliik State Firing Range.
“The training is basically how to do better investigation. To become better officer in using the techniques, what they need to learn, practice and be better at it.” Santis said in an interview.
This is the first time that the Operations/Training Department was headed by Santis coordinated with the partner- nations to do the training.
