Camacho placed Norita on curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The defendant was released to Lorenzo Laniyo Norita and Kristina Kapileo as third party custodians.
Attorney Robert T. Torres represents Norita.
Assistant Attorney General Nicole Driscoll is prosecuting the case.
Assistant Public Defender Benjamin Petersburg represents Juan Kaipat Norita.
Camacho has not recused himself from hearing the case as incorrectly reported.
Opposing counsels did not object after Camacho advised them, referring to American Bar Association Rule 2.11, that Juan Kaipat Norita is a distant relative.
As defined in the code, third degree relationship includes great grandparent, grandparent, parent, uncle, aunt, brother, sister, child, grandchild, great grandchild, nephew, and niece.
Juan Norita and Jerome Norita have been charged for assaulting a 70-year-old man who was driving the vehicle that bumped the defendants’ female family member during an automobile pedestrian incident in Dandan on Dec. 2, 2011.
The elderly driver was about to check on the victim, when he was attacked by the defendants. The driver identified a third individual who attacked him. It was not immediately known if authorities will be charging the third individual.
