“If you know of any CNMI men and women who are deployed anywhere, please email us their names and addresses,” Operation Homefront Support coordinator Geri Willis said.
Email [email protected], call or text 989-CNMI (2664), or the Red Cross at 234-3459 with fax number 234-3457.
Willis said the whole team is very grateful for the wholehearted support of the community for the program, which is already in its fourth year.
“I can’t reiterate how blessed I am to have such a fantastic team. You’re ‘awesome’ to work with. Thanks again for all your hard work and efforts in making this a successful operation,” Willis said.
On Nov. 26, over 80 volunteers and team members of Operation Homefront Support packaged over 200 care boxes containing pre-selected items donated by the community for military members deployed overseas.
Operation Homefront Support aims to make the deployed servicemembers feel the spirit of home and of Christmas although they can’t be home for the holidays.
The packages contained canned goods, cookies, postcards, newspapers and magazines, letters, cards, and drawings from elementary school students, dental supplies, t-shirts, CDs, and other items that would remind the servicemembers that they are remembered.
To date, Operation Homefront has sent out over 1,000 care packages to CNMI men and women serving the nation in different parts of the world.
