From the 53 entries from Rota and 18 entries from Tinian for the fifth annual “My Holiday Greetings to our Visitors drawing contest” triggered a variety of ideas on how to welcome visitors to the CNMI for the holidays.

Most of the students drew images of the island’s scenic spots and historical attractions to show visitors the natural wealth of the islands.

All participants of the contest were given gift kits from PDM Promoters Inc.

Hundreds of students participated in the annual “My Holiday Greetings to our Visitors” drawing contest” from Rota and Tinian for the past years initiated by PDM Promoters Inc., a Saipan-based non-profit organization. On Saipan, public and elementary schools participated in the annual Christmas tree decorating contest but since the schools on Rota and Tinian couldn’t join, PDM Promoters came up with the drawing contest to get the students from the two islands to participate and still feel the spirit of Christmas.

The winning drawings are displayed at the Paseo de Marianas in Garapan for the holiday season. Check them  out, see the artistic talents of the kids, and get some ideas at the same time on how to welcome visitors. You might be surprised!
