Over 50 senior citizens enjoyed the two-hour program that included “healthy and soft” food and entertainment.
Aging Center Director Rose Mondala and Senior Citizens Advisory Council president Teresita Sorroza thanked the hotel management.
“The manamko’ and all the Aging Center staff thank the hotel for thinking of us again,” Mondala said.
They appreciate and will always remember the annual “treats” provided by the hotel to the manamko’, she added.
In their own way of giving back, Mondala said they will hold the Manamko’ King & Queen coronation at the Fiesta Resort & Spa.
She said they may also hold their Christmas party at the hotel.
In a separate interview, the hotel’s human resources manager Lupe Flores, said the manamko’ need to be taken care of.
It has been the hotel’s tradition to give back to the community, especially to the elderly, she added.
“We are happy that they can join us,” she said.
Das Krishman, hotel food and beverage manager, said they served healthy dishes to the senior citizens.
“We wish them the best of health always,” he added.
The hotel band Tasi and Ali-is composed of Tasi, John, Bernard Rex, Marylun Ken, Kate Shelby and Momoko performed traditional music numbers.
The hotel, led by Elena Soll, also sponsored a dance contest for the manamko’.
Six pairs participated with Leonides Marinas and Felisa Basa each receiving $100 for winning first prize.
The second place winners got $50 each while bags of goods were provided to the other contestants as consolation prizes.
