Saipan BC swept Shirley’s with 28 sets, winning all but one match. The Berks Blazers on the other hand, won six of 11 games to outrun GRBC, 17-14 in sets.
Saipan BC’s Oh Anyeol and Kim Yun Mun dealt the first blows in a men’s class C doubles game against Jexler and Jerome Malasarte. Gary Bondoja and Oh Imbog defeated Shirley’s Glenn Buljenns and Sam Jones in three sets while Dick Guintu downed Hibi in a singles match.
Hibi had earlier teamed with Buljenns to beat Guintu and Pastor Pang for Shirley’s BC’s first and last win of the weekend.
In the GRBC-Berks Blazers match-up, Jordan and Kanata Omori claimed two sets from Ylac Caracut and Rommel Bartolome (21-8, 21-16) while Noli Santos and Edwin Maratas routed Wowie Abuel and Gerry Balarao.
The Berks Blazers pulled away after clinching three straight games on Saturday. Macoi Aguda and Marlene Peraja delivered six sets in separate singles matches to oust GRBC.
