While in New York to participate at the High-level Meetings and General Debate of the 66th United Nations General Assembly, Mori administered the oath of office to the two Micronesian diplomats.
The FSM Congress confirmed Lippwe and Naich’s appointments at its May session.
About 20 of Lippwe and Naich’s friends, families, and the Permanent Mission staffers witnessed the event as Mori administered the oath of office. The daughters of the two diplomats, Lynette Jeem and Alessandra Maria Naich, assisted in the ceremony as Bible bearers.
After the oath-taking ceremony, Mori thanked the families of the two serving diplomats for their steadfast support in keeping up with the demands of work and time imposed on Lippwe and Naich. He also called on citizens of the FSM who are in the United States to be productive and goodwill ambassadors.
