Choi proved to be one of the Saipan Badminton Club’s best players this season, winning three championships overall.
Choi dominated the class 40-and-above finals with Mario Diola, beating veteran netters Dick Guintu and Oh In Sook, 21-15, 19-21, 15-21.
She proceeded to the class A finals with Guintu to crush their younger counterparts Andrew Galvez and Angie Ito, 22-20, 18-21, 21-13.
On Saturday, Choi claimed the class AB title with Gary Bondoja on a 21-18, 21-13, victory over Guintu and Toshiko Obata.
Choi capped the season with a six win-one loss record in the class A division, upsetting the former unbeaten Galvez-Ito duo. Her undefeated streak stretched to the class AB and 40A categories with eight and seven wins, respectively.
Meanwhile, Bondoja and Heo In Sook won the class B finals versus Oh Imbog and Obata, 21-13, 19-21, 21-15.
Ferdie Arago and Annette Quiambao — who lost to Guintu and Obata in the class AB semifinals — settled for third place on a 21-12, 21-18 win over Robert Reyes and Malou Malasarte.
The class C title went to SBC’s Joel Ortega and Kim Boranah, who outran Kanata Omori and Cleofe Santos, 21-14, 21-14.
Saipan Badminton Club took nearly all first place and first runner up seats this weekend with the exception of Taga BC’s Galvez and Ito, both of whom placed second in the class A division.
Omori and Santos of Golden Racquet BC squeezed in for first runner up in the class C division.
