This year’s islandwide cleanup will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, and Saturday, Sept. 17, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Most people adopt a beach, but you can also adopt a road, a park, a church, or even the area in front of your house if you want.
Volunteers must sign up with organizers so they can have the supplies they need and any help they may need in getting the collected waste to the landfill or the transfer station.
