The Hoops dominated the scene, 82-63 to post their fifth straight win with an overall record of six wins and one loss.
Dave Sablan didn’t disappoint after scoring 23 points alongside 17 from James Villacrusis and 10 from Jacob Villagomez.
Randy Mungcal top scored at 27 points but couldn’t keep the pace for the Mix Bloods, who fell 12 points behind in the first quarter.
Villacrusis secured the first 10 minutes with two open layups and a three-pointer while Sablan added four points. Marlon Cabrera, Gus Palacios, and James Lee each had their shot at the basket to lift the team six points during the second quarter.
The Hoops stormed away in the second half, shutting down four attempts from Joe Acosta and Mungcal. The Mix Bloods collapsed on a 9-22 run in the third quarter.
Limping across the court, Kelvin Fitial capped the last period with two baskets from the three-point line. Villacrusis tallied seven rebounds, two blocks, five assists, and three steals while Walter Mendez had seven rebounds, one block, and two steals.
Timbal earned 16 rebounds for the Mix Bloods with two steals and one block.
The Hoops won’t be expecting an easy win in their next game as they face the undefeated Namfrel-Proas on September 27.

In the masters division of the UFO-Docomo Pacific Cup, team MAFEA-RNV notched their first win versus SAFSWO-Ebisuya, 68-63.
RNV’s Danny Bicera and Ed Cosino swept Ebisuya’s defense in the first quarter and led, 13-10. Cosino scored four more points in the second quarter while Jun Gunrey earned four and Ferdie Dela Torre scored two.
Ebisuya erased its six-point deficit on run and gun plays early in the second half. Joel Buniag and Noel Mateo each hammered a three-pointer as Mike Surima posted eight points in six minutes.
Meanwhile, Dela Torre charged for layup past Buniag but was fouled and given two free throws in the third quarter. Bicera had no luck either after missing a jumper against Ed Echavez.
Team RNV outran Ebisuya, 23-18 to secure the final quarter. Cosino scored six points for a 20 total and Canoy earned 12 overall. Elmer Pineda and Bicera garnered 14 and nine points, respectively.
Surima led Ebisuya’s offensive at 25 points.

Cabalen draws bye in masters playoffs
Team Cabalen-Wings Travel will receive a bye in the first round of the masters division’s playoffs.
This was announced after a three-way tiebreaker between Cabalen, MDX-Armatech, and Visminda-Piahi – all of whom have three wins and one loss.
Final ranking was determined by each team’s goal average, which is their ‘points scored’ divided by ‘points allowed.’
Teams MDX and SAFSWO are scheduled to play tonight, 6:30 p.m. Teams Visminda and MAFEA will face on Tuesday, September 20 at 6:30 p.m.
