The Attorney General’s Office charged Villagomez with theft that occurred on June 24, 2006; disturbing the peace on July 6, 2006; and assault and battery, assault, and criminal mischief on July 8, 2006. The victim involved in these incidents was Villagomez’s common-law wife.
The prosecution said Villagomez took her purse and disturbed her peace several days later. In another incident, Villagomez also pulled the victim’s clothing that caused injuries, the AGO said. Villagomez also threatened to physically harm his victim, and broke her mobile phone.
Villagomez, a resident of Oleai at that time, was not arraigned because he was not served a summons in 2007.
It was Assistant Attorney General Shelli Neal who asked the court to dismiss the charges with prejudice.
