The umbrella permits of nonresidents expire on that day.
Library administrative officer Jennifer D. Rospel told the Variety yesterday that a seemingly non-ending stream of patrons has been using their computers and printers for documents, research and filling out online to meet immigration document requirements.
“We are very happy to see that a lot of people are availing of the library’s resources like computers and internet connection especially those who are trying to beat deadlines,” Rospel said.
She said these include adults who don’t have computers or internet connection at their homes.
The ITC department, which was provided by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, has 19 computer units available to the public, and tables for laptop users and one network printer.
Basic computer lessons and workshops are also offered at the ITC department.

Extended hours
Rospel said since the library resumed its 80-hour operation last month, they have been hosting more clients and patrons. The library used to be included in the government’s austerity measures and functioned on a 32-hour operation every week.
“A lot of the library users have been very happy with the additional one day of operations for them to use the library facilities,” Rospel said.
In celebration of Thanksgiving, the library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, but will resume operations on Friday.
Rospel said they are putting out a number of books about Thanksgiving to make it easier for children and the library users to see them.
Among the books that are available for Thanksgiving are “One Terrific Thanksgiving,” “Turkeys, Pilgrims and Indians: The Story of Thanksgiving,” “Happy Thanksgiving,” “Silly Tilly’s Thanksgiving Dinner,” “Thanksgiving Day,” “Little Bear’s Thanksgiving,” “The First Thanksgiving,” “Look who’s In the Thanksgiving Play,” “A Turkey for Thanksgiving,” “Thanksgiving,” “Thanksgiving Parade” and other titles.
