QT’s, Geckos leap to semis in boys volleyball

The QT’s dropped Saipan Southern High School (25-20, 25-19) to the losers’ bracket in their first game and edged the once-unbreakable Grace Christian Academy Eagles in the quarterfinals.

The QT’s led, 6-3 by set three but helped GCA even the game, 9-9 after three errors from John Darag and Jason Limes. The duo later drove Marianas High’s offense on back-to-back spikes, hurling the QT’s to an 18-16 victory.

GCA was scheduled for a second game yesterday but results weren’t available during press time.

Meanwhile, Kagman High School also fell to the losers’ bracket after a quarterfinal loss against Saipan International School (25-20, 23-25, 15-12).
