PIC resident manager Deidre Halstead said they sold 212 tickets at $25 each, which included appetizers, beer, wine and soda for each participant.
This year’s Palooza had a Country & Western Theme.
Halstead said guests had a grand time joining games such as Horse Shoe Competition and Take It or Pass It.
She said everyone also enjoyed themselves with the line dancing.
Lucky winners in the raffle draws and various competitions went home with attractive prizes including stays at PIC Saipan, PIC Guam, Aqua Resort Club, dinner for two at Seaside Grill-PIC Saipan, dinner for two at Aqua Resort Club, Boutiki gift voucher, Magellan Brunch-PIC Saipan, water park passes -PIC Saipan and lovely handmade bags by the ladies from Guma Esperansa.
“It’s so fantastic to see such support from the local community for such a worthy organization and we appreciate it. We are always amazed by the support from local businesses for the events we host to raise money for charity,” Halstead said.
PIC, she added, is thankful for Saipan businesses that purchased tickets. These included Triple J, Pacific Saipan, Luen Fung, Yaong Corp, Micronesian Broker, Pacific Home, Armatech, KR Carr, Marianas Eye Institute and Thompson Law.
Entertaining the guests were PIC’s Icon Band. The PIC Clubmates also performed a Saloon Days number. Hosts for the night were Cole Pritchard and Glenn Policare.
Halstead said they will present a check for $6,000 to this year’s Palooza beneficiary, Guma Espereransa as soon as they finalize the schedule.
Guma Esperansa is a women’s shelter of the church-based charity group Karidat.
