Rock the Junk fashion show still accepting contestants

Event coordinator James Sison said they could accommodate more participants for the runway fashion show for all the three categories: for six years old and below, 7-11 years old, and the 18 years old and below bracket.

Sison said they have been meeting with the participants and the parents but those who are interested to participate can still join future meetings to finalize the details of the contest.

Sison said  contestants or their parents need to buy a Hard Rock t-shirt to qualify.

Fashion designers are encouraged to join a separate contest and bring home attractive prizes.

Sison said designers must present an eco-friendly fashion look using recyclable items such as paper, plastic bottles or cans.

The Rock the Junk fashion show is being held in collaboration with Teen Talk to promote an eco-friendly environment.

Along with the runway fashion show and fashion designers contest, is a photography contest which is open to all photographers. Sison said they are still finalizing the details of the photography contest.

He said photographers interested to join are required to take photos of a beach cleanup that they have yet to schedule with the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance very soon.

“Photographers will have to take photos from the beach cleanup to join the contest and from the event proper to qualify,” Sison said.
