Bennett whose previous best is 12.37 seconds would have made it had she run in the 200 meter and 400 meter races for which she devoted her training times back in Boise State University.
Her father, Ambrose said Yvonne thought she race in 200 and 400 meter races and did not expect to compete in the 100 meters.
“There could have been a miscommunication because she trained in 200 and 400 but ended up racing in 100 which is totally different m,” the still proud father said.
Besides, there are other factors that made Yvonne lagged in the fifth place. The long distance trip, probably also affected her performance.
