Wang expressed the best wishes and congratulations of his government to Mori and reaffirmed the existing good relations between the FSM and China.
In response, Mori thanked Wang for the generous support provided by China on the occasion, and for past assistance and economic cooperation extended to the FSM.
Mori said they not only contribute to the economic and social development of the nation, but further strengthen our bilateral relations.
The FSM and China later signed the agreement for a grant aid of 20 million yuan or $3.1 million.
Pursuant to the agreement, the grant aid will be used for projects to be agreed upon between the two governments.
