The communities have reached a consensus to continue to observe and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by their communities for execution within their “no-take” areas, which prohibits harvesting of any marine life.
“Your cooperation and commitment in fulfilling our request and assisting with the enforcement of our MCA rules is greatly appreciated by the people of our communities,” they said.
“Our aspiration is to better work together to manage and protect our marine resources for the future generations of Yap,” the statement said.
